The CB-AF PB 10 SX 0,5mcr MADE IN USA Atlas Filtri 10"" activated carbon water filter is made of solid CARBON activated carbon providing high levels of sediment (soil and suspended particles), pesticides and chlorine retention.

The nanofiber construction technology creates very dense filters that retain particles down to 0.5 µm while minimally reducing water flow and pressure.

Made from coconut shell, providing retention of Chlorine and unpleasant taste and odor.

Ideal also for reverse osmosis systems because its compact structure does not allow carbon particles to escape, increasing membrane life.

Compact activated carbon

Solid activated carbon (extruded) filters are made from activated carbon powder which under certain processes creates filters with a single solid mass.

The advantage of filters belonging to this category is that they behave as a single body so that they do not allow the escape of activated carbon granules into the water, which is the case with granular activated carbon (GAC) filters.

Also, their manufacturing technology can give very dense filters, filters which trap particles down to 0,5 μm.

Activated Carbon Operation

Activated carbon in fibre form and in nanometre (nm) size is compressed under certain conditions to create a very dense lattice with a much higher permeability to water. This has the effect of retaining very small particles with a minimal reduction in water flow and pressure.
